Our portfolio includes over 30 completed retail centers, more than 20 AutoZone build-to-suit projects, grocery-anchored developments, hotels, and mixed-use retail sites. Our Team

Scott W. Weaver
Principal, Director of Investments

Scott W. Weaver brings over 40 years of expertise in commercial real estate with a specialized focus on land acquisition, shopping center evaluation, and strategic value enhancement. As a founding principal of Rubicon Realty Group, his deep understanding of market dynamics, site selection, and economic feasibility drives the firm’s ability to identify, underwrite, and execute successful development and investment opportunities.

Scott’s skill in evaluating the financial viability of potential acquisitions allows Rubicon to craft tailored investment strategies that maximize returns and mitigate risk. His strengths in problem solving and partnership structuring have played a pivotal role in Rubicon’s ability to unlock value in complex deals and align the right capital with the right projects.

Prior to co-founding Rubicon and WDJ Realty, Scott established Weaver Realty Group, where he focused on the redevelopment and repositioning of underperforming commercial assets. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President at Wulfe & Co. for 13 years, specializing in investment sales to both institutional and private equity groups, and managing the disposition of REO portfolios for failed savings and loan institutions. He also represented numerous financial institutions in the leasing and sale of distressed and foreclosed assets across Texas.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Oklahoma, and is widely respected for his keen judgment, negotiation acumen, and ability to see value where others see risk.

G. Peter Jacob
Principal, Director of Property Operations

G. Peter Jacob brings over 30 years of comprehensive commercial real estate experience across leasing, development, property management, construction oversight, and asset disposition. As a founding principal of Rubicon Realty Group, Peter is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution across development projects, leasing strategies, investor relations, and long-term asset performance.

His leadership is grounded in hands-on experience with every phase of the retail property lifecycle. Prior to co-founding Rubicon and WDJ Realty, Peter served as Director of Retail Leasing for Sugarland Properties Incorporated, the master developer of First Colony—a landmark 10,000-acre mixed-use development in Sugar Land, Texas. There, he played a key role in shaping the retail landscape of one of the region’s most successful master-planned communities.

Earlier in his career, Peter held senior management roles at Trammell Crow Company–Houston, where he led leasing and development initiatives for various commercial assets. While at CB Commercial–Houston, he managed a two million square foot portfolio of retail, office, and industrial properties, overseeing all aspects of property operations and strategic asset management.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a recognized industry expert with certifications from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) as a Certified Real Estate Professional, Certified Development, Design and Construction Professional, and Certified Property Manager. His operational precision, institutional experience, and development insight make him an integral force behind Rubicon’s continued success.

Shawn Kern
Director of Property Management

Shawn Kern brings over 30 years of management expertise and has been a key member of Rubicon Realty Group since 2014. As Director of Property Management, Shawn is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Rubicon’s growing portfolio of retail centers throughout the Houston area. He plays a central role in maintaining operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and long-term asset performance.

With over a decade of direct experience managing retail assets for Rubicon, Shawn’s responsibilities span the full scope of property operations—including lease administration, maintenance oversight, accounting and financial reconciliation, expense management, and property tax evaluation. His proactive management style, attention to detail, and ability to streamline operations ensure that Rubicon’s properties are professionally maintained and financially optimized at every level.

Shawn’s extensive background in operations and team leadership gives him a unique ability to balance ownership objectives with tenant needs—resulting in lasting value for both stakeholders and occupants. His reliability, institutional discipline, and commitment to precision have made him an indispensable part of Rubicon’s continued success in delivering high-performing retail environments.

Jordan Weaver
Associate

Jordan Weaver is a rising force in commercial real estate brokerage, with a proven track record in retail investment sales, leasing, and market strategy. He brings over seven years of experience to Rubicon Realty Group, where he currently leads the company’s leasing division and plays a key role in acquisitions and development initiatives across Texas and Oklahoma.

Jordan’s career began with hands-on internships during college, including with Rubicon, where he assisted the property management and marketing teams. He also worked in Norman, Oklahoma, where he helped a local brokerage secure zoning amendments and development approvals, laying the groundwork for his strong understanding of entitlements and land positioning.

Since joining Rubicon full-time in 2021, Jordan has closed nearly $50 million in investment sales, including five retail centers and 53 office condo units, and has leased close to 100,000 square feet of retail space. He has also identified and executed off-market retail acquisitions for Rubicon and its partners, contributing to the firm’s growing investment portfolio.

Jordan specializes in the Houston, DFW, and Tulsa markets and is known for his ability to merge local market knowledge with big-picture strategy. In 2023, he was honored as a Crexi Power Broker of the Year, recognizing his high transaction volume and industry impact.

He holds a Business Economics degree from the University of Oklahoma, and continues to focus on value-driven leasing, strategic partnerships, and retail asset repositioning.
